February 2015 DSFP Newsletter

February 2015 Newsletter – Thank You for Your Wonderful Support in 2014!

Thanks to your remarkable generosity, in 2014, we were able to distribute over 30,000 pounds of food to pantry guests in 2014. Each individual who sought our help during the holidays, and since the opening of the pantry in June, was served. We distributed hundreds of holiday meals, we partnered with local schools to provide supplemental food for children in need over the weekends, and we began a partnership with the Loudoun County Public Schools Backpack Coalition. We are grateful to the parent liaisons in the Dulles South cluster schools for helping us reach out to those in need. Over 150 volunteers donated more than 2,300 hours of time to help their neighbors. We look forward to continuing this great work in 2015 with the help of the Dulles South Community. We hope that you enjoy this first installment of our new monthly newsletter and we look forward to another successful year or supporting those in need in our community
