March is National Nutrition Month |
At the Pantry, a key part of our mission is to provide nutritious food to our guests. We are committed to distributing a rich variety of foods–not just pantry staples, but also fresh produce, meat, eggs, and dairy so that our guests are fed and nourished. How can you make a difference in supporting our guests with nutritious food choices? Make a monetary donation so we can continue to purchase and distribute fresh dairy, eggs, and meats that nourish our guests. Donate fresh fruits and veggies that will add key vitamins, minerals, and fiber to our guests’ plates. If you garden, consider planting extra veggies or fruits for donation to the Pantry during the harvest months. Organize a food drive with your workplace, school, neighborhood, or faith community. Whether you choose a creative theme or keep it simple, food drives are a great way to support the Pantry. When you’re planning your drive, connect with us so we can help suggest the items that are most needed at that time. |

“I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to meet with me last week and for being so kind and supportive. It truly meant a lot to me, especially during such a hard moment. Losing my mom has been very difficult and overwhelming, and the comfort, understanding, and warmth you showed really stayed with me. I’m so grateful for the way you listened and made space for me when I needed it.” ~ recent Pantry guest |
