Immediate Impact: Announcing a Powerful Partnership with HITT |
|
|
|
We are thrilled to announce a powerful new partnership with HITT Contracting. In a profound display of community support, HITT generously donated the funds needed to cover the Pantry’s food budget for the second half of the year. |
|

|
While a Loudoun County grant provided a strong start, HITT’s incredibly generous $65,000 investment, made possible through the HITT Contracting Foundation, secures the solid foundation we need to maintain our core weekly operations while expanding key community initiatives–including providing ample fresh produce, offering diverse protein choices, and establishing our Senior Mobile Outreach program. With food costs remaining high, HITT’s commitment ensures that every family coming through the Pantry’s doors this fall and holiday season will find fully stocked shelves and fresh, nourishing food. HITT Co-President Evan Antonides shared the news with DSFP Executive Director Micki McMann during an in-person visit in August. “At HITT, we believe strong communities are built by people who show up for one another,” said Antonides. “Thank you for doing exactly that every day. We’re honored to support your mission and the meaningful impact you’re making across the Dulles community.” |

In addition, HITT team members are putting their values into action by supporting our mission through food donations and volunteering. In August, HITT’s Technology team, led by Nick Cunningham, coordinated a food drive that collected and delivered more than 20,000 pounds of food to the Pantry! This was one of the Pantry’s largest food drives to date from an individual company! |

Similar to a 401(k) or Health Savings Account (HSA), a DAF is a tax-advantaged charitable giving account that you can set up to invest and make grants to nonprofits over time. Thanks to these awesome Mother/Son duos from Young Men’s Service League (YMSL), Ashburn. As part of their Ultimate Gift project for 2026, they collected 187 lbs of toiletries and sorted it all, including making around 100 kits. We ended up with 20 crates of full size items and small toiletry kits! Then, they did a lot of sanitizing and cleaning for us. Thank you, YMSL Ashburn! |
